hats how many days it is until May 9th, Mother’s Day 2010.
To some, the second Sunday in May is just another day. To others, it’s the most important day of the year. It’s the day when we get to honor our mothers and recognize the amazing job that they do – Mother’s Day.
Whether it’s a new mom, grand mom or a mom-to-be, stop and just say thank you. If it’s your mom, try to express how truly special she is. In just a few clicks, we’ll share some fresh ideas with you to make this Mothers Day 2010 as special as she is.
Over the years, the mother’s role has seen some significant changes. It has always been expected for a mother to dedicate her life to her family, and this made a “good” mother. Between general housekeeping, shopping, rearing the children, laundry, and having three square meals ready for the family, a mother saw very little time for herself.
The modern mom in 2010 sees a completely different world. She is expected to perform all above motherly duties, as well as work full time and provide for the household. In some cases, she is unfortunately doing this by herself. Being a mother is a lifetime job, and the ability to manage so many different facets at once is an absolutely amazing feat.
Give a mother the recognition she deserves on her special day, and know how much time she has committed to doing the very best for the ones she loves, and only expecting to receive that love in return.
Mother's Day is celebrated to honor all mothers and express gratitude for the hardships they bear in bringing up a child. Most countries including US, Australia, Canada and India celebrate Mothers Day on the second Sunday of May. Mothers Day came into being due to the efforts made by Ms Julia Ward Howe and Ms Anna Jarvis. The Resolution for having a dedicated Mother's Day was signed by US President Woodrow Wilson on May 8, 1914. Since then people across the world have been celebrating Mothers Day with joy and devotion.
